Half Moon Produce
Also at ‘The Half Moon Shop’ we sell olive oil from Fino olive oil, a small finca in Spain, owned by Susie Taylor in Oxford. We also have a selection of vintage finds by Eilidh, with a food and drink theme.
Around the Pub are a selection of paintings by Emma Pearson (previously an employee at The Half Moon) and Eilidh Ferguson. Emma paints a quirky variety of rare breed pigs, cows and chickens which are an ideal addition to a foodie’s home or country cottage. Eilidh’s paintings are also of a foodie theme; her subjects include vintage still life and retro food packaging. Both Emma and Eilidh can be contacted directly to discuss commissions and other work. There aren’t many art galleries where you can get a pint and a bag of homemade crisps as well as a painting!
Chutney and Jam
We make and sell our own chutneys and jams. On the menu you will find our apple chutney with chicken liver pâté, chilli jam with homemade chips and our piccalilli with Andrew’s pork pie.
Each jar is individually decorated, making an ideal gift to take home with you.

Home Smoked Salmon
During the winter months we cold smoke our own salmon. The salmon are prepared in house, then cured in brown sugar, sea salt & lemon zest for two days. The sides are then air-dried for 24 hours before being smoked for 1 ½ days using a constant flow of oak chip and apple wood smoke.
Andrew’s salmon has a distinctive flavour which can be sampled on the menu from November to February. During December we take pre-orders for 300g vacuum packs of salmon.
